Brookfield, MA Business Real Estate Lodging History
The community of Brookfield, Massachusetts is located twenty miles west of Worcester, forty miles from Springfield, and sixty miles from the capital city of Boston. Brookfield rests on the banks of the Quaboag River, which is surrounded by protected swamplands and wildlife reserves. The town is mostly flat, with many brooks and streams flowing into the larger waterways. Quaboag and Buacmquasit Ponds can be found on the outskirts of town.
Brookfield prides itself on being the home of Elise the Cow who, in 1939, won a cow beauty contest at the World’s Fair. Elise the Cow went on to travel extensively across the county and became the inspiration for marketing many items.
