Chappaquiddick Island sits off the Eastern coast of Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts. Chappaquiddick is part of the larger community, Edgartown. Chappaquiddick is accessible by ferry and boat, and although it was at one time connected to Martha’s Vineyard by a narrow strip of beach, a large storm in 2007 destroyed the beach and separated the islands. A local tourist attraction is the MyToi Gardens, a Japanese garden created in the native brush.
