Welcome to Natick, Massachusets. Natick – means ‘place of hills’ in the local Native American language (Abenacki), Natick is only 15 miles from Boston, Massachusetts, and is considered part of the greater Boston area. North, South, East, West, and the Center of Natick are all communities within town limits. Each community brings something different to the town. Natick Center is where Main Street is located. North Natick is primarily residential. East Natick is the smallest of all Natick communities, also based primarily on residential activity. South Natick is where the Native American settlers first arrived along the shore of the Charles River. Many retail stores and the Commuter Rail station are all in West Natick.
