Deerfield River is the main body of water flowing through Buckland, Massachusetts. Many smaller streams and brooks flow into the Deerfield River, creating the valley that Buckland calls home. There are many small hills surrounding Buckland, including Moonshine Hill, and this community also houses a small state forest. Buckland was founded on agricultural roots and maintains its earthy feel to this day – encompassing all of what rural Massachusetts is all about.
