Georgetown, Massachusetts is a primarily residential town 40 miles north of Boston and 15 miles south of the New Hampshire border. Georgetown is home to the oldest privately run Fire Department in the United States. Georgetown is so small that it does not have its own public school system, but there are several churches. Rock Pond and Pentucket Pond are not far from the center of town. There are multiple conservation areas in Georgetown, including Georgetown-Rowley State Forest.
