Hudson, Massachusetts is 17 miles from Worcester and 40 miles from Boston. The village of Gleasondale is located in both Hudson and Stow, Mass. Assabet River and Lake Boon are also found in Hudson, Mass. Lake Boon was once a popular vacation spot but has turned into a dominantly residential area. In 1894, a large fire destroyed much of downtown.
Today in Hudson you can see the buildings that were rebuilt after the fire, most of them are made from brick and stone, largely inspired by the Victorian era.
