The town of New Braintree started out as nothing more than 6,000 acres of land granted to the residents of Braintree, Massachusetts. In the beginning, it was known as “Braintree Farms”. The small area acquired more land and soon after became incorporated as New Braintree. New Braintree was known for its good farmers and Native American history.
