Stow, Massachusetts is well known for its apple orchards, which are beautiful in spring and a major stopping point for autumn apple pickers. The most popular orchard in Stow is Honeypot Hill Orchard. Other Stow area orchards include; Carver Hill Orchard, Derby Orchard, One Stack Farm and Shelburne Farm. There are many farms as well as orchards in Stow, making the town full of farm stands, fresh fruits, and vegetables. Golf is highly popular, and the 1995 US Amateur Public Links Championship took place at the Stow Acres Country Club. There are at least four other golf courses of various sizes in Stowe.
