Nestled between the towns of Dedham, Roslindale, Brookline, and Newton is the Boston suburb of West Roxbury, Massachusetts. West Roxbury is home to a strong Irish community, filled with civil and political activism. At one point in its history, West Roxbury was the site of an experimental utopian community called Brook Farm that was frequented by such people as Nathaniel Hawthorne and Margaret Fuller.
